Autumn

Dear friends...

As the summer draws to a close… we see fall arriving much too soon… call the police someone stole Summer!

It has been a busy Summer for me completing a 3 piece 10' project for 3 transom windows all in Roses & Ribbons. I would like to express my gratitude to Rosie & Pat for keeping me busy all summer long building this elegant project for them!

My husband (Henry) and I drove down to Vancouver, Washington to personally deliver their windows. Our hosts Rosie & Pat so kindly opened their home to us and provided the finest hospitality you could have ever hoped for. Rosie, Pat, Henry and myself took a tour of the Uroboros Glass Factory in Portland Oregon it was really interesting to see how glass is made from the time of mixing the colors to the pouring of the hot glass on a conveyor belt to then be cut into 4 foot sheets leaving behind the heads n’ tails of the glass which may be purchased for a fee.

Our tour concluded with a much anticipated shopping extravaganza for yousr truly …. Oh my gosh, just like Christmas!!! So many colors and styles I made the most of it and brought back some beautiful art glass!

On another note… before I left for the States I had a wonderful time making an appearance on Television. My fellow instructors from Tiffany House and I  got together with Jill from Breakfast Television and created a show all about playing with glass! You can watch the video here.
